THE CONDO
This beautiful updated 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom condo is located within the Appalachian Hotel at the Mountain Resort. The resort boasts Alpine Skiing, a water park and mountain bike park for those looking for adventure and fun. Mountain Creek contains 167 acres of skiing area, night skiing, snowboarding, and snowmaking activities, the perfect place to balance relaxation with adrenaline.
Cozy up with friends and family in the living room with the beautiful fireplace. A door leads out to the balcony where you can enjoy a view of the lush greenery, the pool area and the mountains. The kitchen is equipped with plenty of rich wooden cabinetry and a dishwasher. This main living area is open and light-filled with stunning wood flooring that flows underfoot, making this a lovely place to gather and enjoy food and wine.
The bedroom is inviting and equipped with a built-in closet. Plenty of natural light pours in from the large window, creating a warm ambience. The adjoining ensuite is spacious and features a shower and bathtub, both with gorgeous tiling. The vanity provides plenty of storage space and a stunning stone countertop.

THE RESORT:
The Mountain Ski Resort is a 4-season resort that offers Alpine Skiing, Snow Boarding, Mountain Biking, Zip-Line, and a Water Park - all on site as well as a tree top experience down the road.
THE LOCATION:
Vernon Township is located in Sussex County New Jersey, USA. It is located about 1 hour from New York City and was established on April 8, 1793. Iron mining was prevalent during the mid-to-late 19th century. Mines such as Canister Mine, Williams Mine, and the Pochuck Mine created industry which spawned local businesses and brought rail travel to the town.
Today Vernon and the immediate area is an outdoor lover’s paradise. Here you will find a landscape consisting of residential and resort communities, farmland, apple orchards, pumpkin patches, bird watching, barns, horse farms and stables, lakes, fishing, and just so much natural beauty. The famous Appalachian Trail (AT) even runs through it! You will be amazed on what you will find only 1 hour outside of New York City.

CLEANING POLICIES:
Our cleaners are instructed to clean and sanitized between each guest. This includes all high touch areas like light switches and handles. We take our guests safety seriously. We offer a contactless check-in procedure featuring a digital lock and you will be provided with your own unique key code.

We are not responsible if your child or anyone touches the glass and burns themselves. If you make a reservation you agree to all of the above

Cancellation Policy
If you booked via Air bnb, the cancel policy is based on what the policy was at the time when you booked the stay. No deviation will be permitted under any circumstances. You expect us to adhere to the booking as is and we expect the same from our guests.
If you booked on our websites or VRBO or an of VRBO affiliated sites , the cancelation policy is what you initialed and signed off on noted on the rental agreement. All cancellations will incur a $50 fee plus 2 times the "credit card cost" if we did charge your credit card already even if its a legitimate cancellation. We cannot be expected to pay for the credit fees we incurred. The cc company charges us when we run a credit card and when we refund a credit card.
Deposit Policy
We will charge your credit card $100 when you book. This is to test the credit card. We will then charge the balance 30 days prior to your arrival date. We don't charge a security deposit on all bookings, even if there is one attached, but might only do hold charge at times.

We loved staying at The Appalachian Mountain visiting from Brooklyn. The pool area was amazing and we took advantage of the great outdoor sauna. The room was exactly what we needed with all the right touches, enough towels and beautiful fire place. Gerald sent a great list of local recommendations. We did horse back riding for Echo Lake Stable, had brunch at Cristal Cafe, and visited the Warwick Winery for tasting and live music. Wonderful weekend will definitely visit again.

HVAC Entry duct was filthy with dust and grime. Gerald sent someone quickly to clean but then later complained that nobody complains about that. The mini fridge had food spots throughout. When I mentioned to Gerald it was ignored. Also the hair dryer was not working. no big deal but again Gerald ignored my message. The bedroom night table had debris, sheetrock pieces and screws. Clearly was not cleaned well after some recent work.

Jim, you showed up at our studio, 3 hours earlier then the 3 pm arrival time we advertise, that just had a $30,000 renno and within one minute you were complaining that there was no closet to use. Did not like the hooks we have set up. You asked me what I could do about it in order to keep my great review rating. So you basically threatened me via abb messaging and I had to tell you in person that one can get him kicked off of ABB for threats. Yopu said that you were sorry. So I moved you to a 1 bedroom mtn view at the same cost. Of course 10 mis later you had a few minor complaints as you were just looking for something-anything. You never messaged me about any other issues during the stay via the mandatory air bnb platform. Good luck with your new house.

Gerald was very communicative and understanding. We were given all needed info before we arrived. We had flight issues that kept getting cancelled so he stayed up with us until we arrived late…to ensure we got in. Bed was comfortable, view was spectacular, amenities were perfect for a short weekend trip for two ppl. We didn’t have any issues finding parking in the garage. Highly recommend!

Gerald's place was lovely cozy and clean with a great view, exactly as the pictures. The fireplace was perfect for the cold Christmas weekend and so was the outdoor hot tub. Gerald was helpful and communicative, would definitely rent from again.

We had a great stay at Gerald's place! We stayed for 3 nights, and it was very peaceful from check-in to check out. We enjoyed the view from the balcony and the ability to see the skiers and snowboarders going down the slopes in addition to the hot tub and sauna on the grounds. My favorite part was the fireplace in the living room! However, we just wished the place was cleaned more thoroughly, it was a bit dusty.

My family of 4 ( 2 adults and 2 kids - 11 yo and 1,5 yo)really enjoyed our stay. Amazing view, clean fresh unit, nice big warm pool ( it was open till 10 pm weekdays , 11 pm on weekends) immaculate grounds , clean hotel and lots of stuff to do with kids around the property and on property. Communication with Gerald was prompt , we have one minor issue during checkout, it was fixed right away.

We stayed for about a week, and we had a wonderful time! The apt is bright and clean and had everything we needed. Kids enjoyed the pool (salt water) and the hot tub. It was nice to end the day on the balcony overlooking the pool and the mountain. It was also convenient to park in the garage (was too hot outside). Gerard is a great host and responds within minutes. Thank you.
Beautiful unit with a spectacular view of the mountain and pool area. So clean and peacefully decorated. The owner was extremely pleasant to work with and the communication was great! Definitely would go back.
Very well run AirBnB operation. We were visiting the Mountain Creek bike park and it was fantastic to be able to have this place at the base of the runs to chill and spend the nights. The condo is super clean and laid out like a hotel. Nice vibe. The kitchen is small, but appropriate for making simple meals like pasta, grilled cheese, eggs etc. Bed is comfy. Access to the pool was a big bonus after a hot dusty day of riding. Thanks to Gerald and team for making it such and easy and comfy stay.
