THE CONDO
Soft upgraded Valley view STUDIO inside The Appalachian Hotel located at the base of the Mountain Ski, Bike and Water Park Resort in Vernon Valley NJ.
This beauty features a king size bed, a living room area with a full-size pullout sofa, fireplace, kitchenette with stove-top, fridge, microwave, K-cup coffee-maker, toaster, dining table, and full bathroom with standard tub/shower combo.

THE LOCATION
Vernon Township is in Sussex County New Jersey, USA. It is located about 1 hour from New York City and was established on April 8, 1793. Iron mining was prevalent during the mid-to-late 19th century. Mines such as Canister Mine, Williams Mine, and the Pochuck Mine created industry which spawned local businesses and brought rail travel to the town.
Today Vernon and the immediate area is an outdoor lover’s paradise. Here you will find a landscape consisting of residential and resort communities, farmland, apple orchards, pumpkin patches, bird watching, barns, horse farms and stables, lakes, fishing, and just so much natural beauty. The famous Appalachian Trail (AT) even runs through it! You will be amazed on what you will find only 1 hour outside of New York City.

Policies
Cancellation Policy
If you booked via Air bnb, the cancel policy is based on what the policy was at the time when you booked the stay. No deviation will be permitted under any circumstances. You expect us to adhere to the booking as is and we expect the same from our guests.
If you booked on our websites or VRBO or an of VRBO affiliated sites , the cancelation policy is what you initialed and signed off on noted on the rental agreement. All cancellations will incur a $50 fee plus 2 times the "credit card cost" if we did charge your credit card already even if its a legitimate cancellation. We cannot be expected to pay for the credit fees we incurred. The cc company charges us when we run a credit card and when we refund a credit card.
Deposit Policy
We will charge your credit card $100 when you book. This is to test the credit card. We will then charge the balance 30 days prior to your arrival date. We don't charge a security deposit on all bookings, even if there is one attached, but might only do hold charge at times.
Rate varies due to seasonality and holidays.

We had the most amazing weekend at Gerry’s place at the Appalachian. The condo was exactly as described and was perfect for a quick weekend getaway for snowboarding. The condo had free indoor parking, and is located right at the base of Mountain Creek which was great given the snow and cold conditions. It even had a super convenient locker that could store our snowboards and boots overnight. The fireplace & TV made for the perfect ending to a very cold day.
Whilst the condo itself was fantastic, the icing on the top was Gerry’s communication and that he was able to accommodate an early check in with no hesitation. Thanks, Gerry- we will be back!

Very nice condo, for a short stay, including all anemities. The downside is that there isn't a closet nor a place to hang clothing. We had to lay out our clothing on the sofa.

Gerald was very communicative and offered us many recommendations. The instructions for entering are very clear and the space was perfect for a quick getaway. We were able to use the shared hot tub and relax back at the room, the fireplace worked really well and accessing wifi was very easy. Highly recommend!
This is the second time we stayed at on of Gerald’s place, it’s great to go and ski on the mountain. Great access to the next door lodge. Only issue we had was not having access to the ski locker, it was one of the reasons we went with this place and was told there was a locker to use but when we got there we found out the prior guests took the keep home. Other than that it was great.
It was a pleasure staying in this unit at the Appalachian at Mountain Creek resort. The unit was comfortable, cozy, and perfect for our weekend getaway. Check-in was super easy, having on-site parking is convenient, and the ski locker made for a clean and dry stay in the unit. Gerald was super communicative and everything went smooth. I will not hesitate to stay at one of these units again.
Gerald is a wonderful host, gets you the info you need to have a great stay and is there when things inevitably will happen and not go to plan.
Gerry was a great host! Communication was great, instruction on point. Parking available, check in was a breeze, condo was clean with enough wear it alls.

The condo was nice and place was clean. It’s perfect for an impromptu change of scenery weekend. Unfortunately, the fireplace never turned on and the pool was closed which is completely out of Gerald’s hands. Served its purpose overall
Had a great stay with my 7 yr old daughter. Location is perfect and we even took one of the suggested hikes that Gerry suggested. We went to the waterpark and zipling.. Very convenient location.
Great place
Amid a wedding party at the resort, the contactless check-in via the AirBnB details (that Gerry emailed us directly after reserving) was great and very easy to get settled. The galley kitchen had a good assortment of utensils, pots and pans (a toaster and rice cooker under the sink as well) so if you want to make some food at your leisure, it’s easy!
Bathroom is large and had a great tub - shower pressure was stellar. This room in particular faced the highway but noise was not an issue when the windows were closed. RokuTV was a nice touch so we could cast AppleTV+ directly!
Excited to stay here during the winter season so we can take advantage of the rest of the resort amenities as well!
Communication with the host through the app was a breeze - Gerry can answer any questions you’d have (within 1hr) and provided resources for us to explore the area too 🙂
Great room for a week-end getaway or to even enjoy the resort which its based out of. Room was extremely clean and temperature was comfortable. Water pressure was great.
It had a queen size bed and a sofa bed as well in case we had more guests. Two fridges as well with plenty of space. Overall a great stay and I'd highly recommend it.
Lovely studio type condo. A great feature was having the fireplace! Everything is accurately described and the owners were amazingly detailed with all instructions pertaining to check-in and the surrounding area! Communication was outstanding!
