THE CONDO
This is a “Premium” updated mountain front 2 bedroom condo inside The Appalachian Hotel located at the base of the Mountain Creek Ski, Bike and Water Park Resort. This unit is on the end near the lodge and has the best views possible of the mountain, the lifts, and the skiers!
This beauty features one king size bed, a queen bed, a living room area with a pullout sofa, fireplace (gas or electric), full kitchen with an oven, large fridge, microwave, K-cup coffeemaker, toaster, 6 person dining table, and 2 full bathrooms.
You will enjoy sitting on the deck gazing out to the mountains appreciating the beautiful gardens while enjoying a coffee in the morning and a nice glass of wine in the evening from one of the many local wineries.
There are 9 golf courses nearby and Legoland is only about a 24 mile drive away. Visit the numerous wineries and breweries in the area and shop for crafts at the farmers markets.

THE LOCATION
Vernon Township is in Sussex County New Jersey, USA. It is located about 1 hour from New York City and was established on April 8, 1793. Iron mining was prevalent during the mid-to-late 19th century. Mines such as Canister Mine, Williams Mine, and the Pochuck Mine created industry which spawned local businesses and brought rail travel to the town.
Today Vernon and the immediate area is an outdoor lover’s paradise. Here you will find a landscape consisting of residential and resort communities, farmland, apple orchards, pumpkin patches, bird watching, barns, horse farms and stables, lakes, fishing, and just so much natural beauty. The famous Appalachian Trail (AT) even runs through it! You will be amazed on what you will find only 1 hour outside of New York City.

great place to escape the city for the weekend turn on the fireplace and relax. theapartment was clean, friendly staff. the view to the slop was nice.
heads-up up leave your belongings in the car grab the key cards and head to the underground garage and drive all the way to the back. elevator is there and 20ft from the room on the 2nd floor.

Gerry’s condo exceeded our expectations! We loved everything about it and especially the view from the balcony and closeness to lifts and slopes. After day of skiing we enjoyed soaking in hot tub! We had a great few days at Gerald’s condo in The Appalachian. It was very spacious and comfortable and has everything that you could need. Our kids loved the heated outdoor pool and we really enjoyed the hot tubs after a day at the neighboring water park.
Having a games room was great on the one rainy day of our trip. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks Gerald!

The layout of the space is nice, plenty of chairs/seating in the common space. Beds are large and comfortable. Oven and stove work great, we didn’t use the washer during our stay as we kept washing and just reusing what was available and this was faster for us. I would say to prep and bring your own spices and oil, etc. my group made the mistake of not when we read “full kitchen with everything we need to cook our meals,” as also having the household basics for spices etc. as other houses we’ve stayed at in the past. We would have also liked a personal broom or dustpan to sweep up when we like, etc.
The views from the room were wonderful to look at, we were here for the summer and we enjoyed looking out at the mountain bikers zooming through the trails. However, the pool view is just of the area walking to the pool, not actually the pool itself, there is a building blocking your view of the water itself—if that matters to you, just an FYI.
Our host was very informative and kept us informed and was in contact the whole time as they informed us of check-in, attractions nearby, and reminders for check-out.

This condo is just as listed. It’s large, an end unit overlooking the ski lift. So fun to watch. The bedrooms are large. The place is spacious. My only recommendation would be to scope out the place before bringing bags in. It is a LONG walk from the lobby but there is an elevator and side door right outside the condo. The outdoor heated pool is lovely. The game room is large and fun for kids and Gerald gave lots of fun suggestions in the area. We had a great time and will be booking again soon!!
