This beautifully appointed 1 BR (no BR door) is located at the Mountain Creek Ski Resort in Vernon NJ. it is mountain front views and comes with a king bed, gas fireplace, galley kitchen, sofa bed, and a large bathroom and sleeps up to 4 comfortably.
The Condo:
This is a beautiful 600 square foot Mountain front Studio Plus 2nd floor condo at The Mountain Creek Resort which is in Vernon, New Jersey.
The condo has 1 king bed, 1 sofa bed, a full bathroom, 2 LCD TVs with cable, galley kitchen, and a gas/electric fireplace.
Your views will be the mountain, trees, skiers, boarders, the pool, and wildlife at times.
It is the perfect getaway for up to 4 guests. No more!
The Resort:
The Mountain Creek Ski Resort is a 4-season resort that offers Alpine Skiing, Snow Boarding, Mountain Biking, and a Water Park - all on site as well as zip-lining and a tree top experience!
The Location:
Vernon Township is in Sussex County, New Jersey, USA. It is located about 1 hour from New York City and was established on April 8, 1793. Iron mining was prevalent during the mid-to-late 19th century. Mines such as Canister Mine, Williams Mine, and the Pochuck Mine created industry which spawned local businesses and brought rail travel to the town. Today Vernon and the immediate area is an outdoor lover’s paradise. Here you will find a landscape consisting of residential and resort communities, farmland, apple orchards, barns, horse farms, lakes, fishing, and just so much natural beauty. You will be amazed at what you will find only 1 hour outside of New York City.

Cleaning Policies:
Our cleaners are instructed to clean and sanitize between each guest. This includes all high touch areas like light switches and handles. We take our guests’ safety seriously. We offer a contactless check-in procedure featuring a lock box with keys inside and you will be provided with your own unique key code.
IDEAL GUESTS
We rent to responsible families and a group of responsible adults who are ALL 24 years of age or older. Any group of individuals will need to list each guest and their ages. We have the right to ask for a driver’s license at any time.
Misc:
Due to new cleaning procedures, we cannot offer a late check-out. However, if no guest is departing on the day you arrive, we can most likely offer an early arrival!
Out condos are equipped with noise and smoke monitoring devices.
• The rental nor the community can be used as a house of worship
• No candles can be lite inside the condo or community
• The bed and bed frames cannot be moved
• The furniture cannot be moved
• No extra mattresses can be brought into nor used inside the rental
• No gathering just outside the rental except for the patio or deck and even then its just for the # of people the unit is listed as sleeping.

Was looking for a quiet weekend getaway, and since this was a rainy weekend between seasons, this was a great pick!
A lot of weddings were going on, but the only noise I heard was from the pool area outside. To be fair, the hot tub was closed at 10 pm, and all was quiet.
I wish the hotel had more stuff to offer on a rainy weekend, but I was happy to curl up with a good book, sip hot coffee, and relax on the comfortable couch and bed.
Also, Gerald was very clear in check-in instructions and everything worked just as he said!

We have stayed at the Appalachian many times, it is our go to place when visiting family in the area. This unit is very nicely remodeled and was very comfortable for the two of us. This was a great spot for a little time away. The pool was nice, and the water park is walking distance and not overly expensive. Gerry gives a lot of suggestions for where to go. We went to Warwick to eat at ‘Fetch’ and then to another spot called Brick and Brew. Grocery stores aren’t far.
For me the bed was very firm and hard to sleep on, and I ended up on the sofa bed, which is the opposite, but worked for me. Gerry is very helpful and will be very responsive to you; he was for us. I’d come back with more people.

Accommodations met our needs! We visited over a holiday weekend and despite cold/rainy weather we enjoyed our stay. It was unclear what summer amenities would be open coming out of COVID restrictions - at least one hot tub was open during our visit which was nice. Fire place in the room was a bonus. Gerry provided a lot of great recommendations and was available for questions. Enjoyed exploring some great food options in surrounding towns!
